TEXSAR Annual Meeting & Training Weekend

annual_trainingThe First Annual TEXSAR Team Meeting and Training Weekend was held this past weekend on May 15, 16 and 17 at the beautiful LCRA Black Rock Park on Lake Buchanan.

Over 50 TEXSAR Team Members from all across the state convened at the camp for a full weekend of classroom training, field training, water rescue training, food and fellowship. Training topics such as K9 searches, HAZMAT and WMD’s, K9 first aid and assisting individuals w/ disabilities were just a few of the courses conducted over the weekend.
A big TEXSAR “Thank You!” to all the team members who traveled hundreds of miles to attend this event, we are grateful for your participation and commitment to excellence. We appreciate your dedication and willingness to give up another precious weekend.
We are blessed with some of the best instructors in the country, thank you to Shawn Hohnstreiter, Ben Alexander, Ed Norman, Brandon Goering and Chris Boyer with NASAR for putting on some great workshops.
We would also like to thank LCRA for donating the use of the Dining Hall and Park Facilities for this event, Black Rock Park is truly a state treasure!
