TEXSAR Expands Regional Leadership

San Marcos, Texas – TEXSAR is growing – and with that growth comes an increasing need for the people, leadership and infrastructure necessary to answer the call.

With more than 700 volunteers serving communities across the state and a growing number of requests for assistance, TEXSAR is expanding its regional leadership structure with the addition of four paid Division Chiefs who will provide dedicated leadership across the organization’s four geographic divisions.

Joining TEXSAR in these roles are:

Central Division – Jordan Jones
North Division – John Jones
South Central Division – Sean Brown
Gulf Coast Division – Deryl Rice

The new Division Chiefs will work alongside TEXSAR’s existing volunteer leadership to strengthen operations, support members and help the organization respond to more calls across the state. They will also serve as an important connection between TEXSAR and the law enforcement, emergency management and public safety partners in the communities where the organization operates.

As TEXSAR’s footprint has grown, so has the importance of having strong regional relationships and dedicated leadership in the communities we serve. These positions will allow TEXSAR to build and maintain those partnerships while continuing to develop the teams and resources needed to respond when requested.

“This is an investment in our ability to serve,” said Michael Duffek, Director of Field Operations. “TEXSAR has grown significantly, and we want to make sure our leadership and infrastructure grow with us. These Division Chiefs will help us strengthen relationships, support our volunteers and increase our capacity to answer the call.”

TEXSAR’s mission remains rooted in the commitment of its volunteer members. The addition of paid Division Chiefs strengthens the support structure around those volunteers while allowing the organization to continue building capacity for the future.

Please join us in welcoming Jordan, John, Sean and Deryl to their new roles as TEXSAR continues to grow and expand its ability to answer every call.
