About BeforeDuringAfter
Small businesses are the backbone of Texas, constituting 99% of businesses in the state and employing nearly half of all working Texans. However, the aftermath of a disaster can be devastating, with 40% of small businesses that close never reopening and an additional 29% going out of business within two years. Recognizing this, we launched BeforeDuringAfter (B4DA), a powerful resource designed to bolster the resilience of small businesses. The program’s resources include a readiness roadmap with essential steps to help small businesses prepare before a disaster strikes; ways to support your community and create a network of partners; emergency information that delivers crucial government information, news, weather, utility, and transportation updates during a disaster, recovery timeline that identifies steps businesses can take to help them bounce back after a disaster and a giving guide that features local, regional, state and national organizations to help communities rebuild.
