TEXSAR, Inc. 2018-2019 Official Raffle Rules and Regulations
This motorcycle raffle and fundraiser is conducted by the TEXSAR, Inc. – Texas Search and Rescue, herein referred to as “TEXSAR”. TEXSAR will operate no more than two raffles per year. All proceeds from the entries will benefit the non-profit organization TEXSAR, a 501 (c)(3) organization recognized by the state of Texas.
§ 1. 0 ELIGIBILITY: You must be 18 years of age to enter. Paid employees and members of their households are not eligible to participate.
§ 2.0 FUNDRAISER DONATIONS: The raffle ticket price is not tax deductible as a contribution to TEXSAR. The cost of a raffle ticket is priced at (1) ticket for $20, (6) tickets for $100
2.1 TEXSAR reserves the right to offer additional multi entry purchase discounts through other applicable promotions. There is no maximum number of entries an individual may purchase. Only official donation entries will be accepted. There is no limit to how many total entries TEXSAR can print and sell. Odds of winning are determined only by the total number of entries sold. Entries may be made via the TEXSAR website at TEXSAR.org. Tickets may also be purchased in person through a TEXSAR member and at certain events at which TEXSAR is present.
§ 3.0 ENTRY SCHEDULE: The TEXSAR 2018-2019 Raffle will commence on November 15th, 2018 when entries were first promoted and then became available. TEXSAR reserves the right to run ticket promotions throughout the year and reserves the right to end any promotions at any time. The random drawing will take place on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 at the 2019 Search Party. All electronic entries on the TEXSAR website must be received by October 20th, 2019 at 11:59 PM CST. The winner will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and release, which must be completed and returned within fourteen (14) days of issuance of notification or an alternate winner will be selected. All raffle winning decisions are final.
§ 4.0 RECEIPT OF PRIZE: The winner does not need to be present to win. The winner agrees to arrange for removal of the Grand Prize by December 15th, 2019. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the Grand Prize which will then be awarded to alternate ticket holder No. 2, then No. 3. The winner is responsible for transportation and delivery of the Grand Prize Motorcycle. The winner is responsible for any applicable taxes and fees including state and federal sales or income tax where applicable. TEXSAR will comply with all applicable tax requirements, including reporting and withholding requirements. TEXSAR will mail applicable tax forms to the winner of the raffle and report the prize to the IRS. TEXSAR will not be responsible to collect the required withholdings upon the transfer of title of the automobile to the winner and remit to the appropriate authorities.
§ 5.0 GRAND PRIZE: The Grand Prize is a 2013 Harley Davidson, FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic, Twin Cam 103B Engine 1690CC

§ 6.0 ENTRY LAWS: The TEXSAR 2018-2019 Raffle is subject to all applicable laws, state or federal and is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Entrants to this fundraiser are responsible for compliance with all such laws and regulations based on their age, place of residence, etc. The winners of the Grand Prize release TEXSAR, its staff, stakeholders, and Board of Directors as well as any related project sponsors from any responsibility or liability in connection with any loss, accident or death incurred with the use of this prize.
§ 7.0 ENTRY RULES: It is TEXSAR’s right to amend, revise and interpret the Raffle Rules as it may see fit. It is expected that by donating money for an entry ticket, entrants will hold to the rules of entering as presented here.
