TEXSAR is hosting a Advanced Visual Tracking course instructed by Fernando Moreira of Worldwide Trackers. The course is designed to train SAR personnel in new techniques of tracking. The course aims to refine the skills and tracking concepts through practical field work and exercises. Students are exposed to the curriculm through 20 hours of time in the field.
Dates: This will be a 3-day course held Friday October 13th, 2023 thru Sunday October 15th, 2023.
Location: Central Division – Austin, TX
Prerequisites: Students must be in the SAR Responder tier prior to the start of course.
Scheduling/Cancelations: This course will be held rain or shine through set operational periods with time allotted for meals.
Cost: $175
TEXSAR fundraising scholarship funds may applied to the cost of this course. Students can check their scholarship fund balance on their SIMS profile.

This is a special class for TEXSAR. No refunds will be granted.

- Tracking stick (38-42” long)
- Rubber bands/castration bands
- Signal mirror
- Small tape measure

- Camp chair
