This course is based on the 2010 Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines and helps course participants learn how to respond to more than 25 first-aid emergencies during times when help may be delayed. It’s a great resource for scouts, outdoor enthusiasts, or anyone who works in a remote environment.

Topics covered include:
Altitude Illnesses, Hypothermia, Shock and Heart Attack, Poisoning, Wounds, Wound Infection, and more

WHEN: August 13th and 14th 8:00am – 6:00pm both days
WHERE: Galveston County Office of Emergency Management

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

• Prerequisites: Must be at least 14 years old and hold current adult CPR/AED certification.
• Seats will be prioritized by agency. If you are waitlisted, you will receive notification.
• A valid CPR certification must be uploaded as part of this registration.
