TEXSAR Community Support is Deployed to the Panhandle

Austin, TX – March 1, 2024 – In response to the devastation caused by the wildfires in the Texas Panhandle, Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR) will deploy a team to support our fellow Texans. They will deliver supplies and support local agencies on the ground.  TEXSAR volunteers will tackle whatever need the requesting agencies have of them

TEXSAR volunteers are committed to service above self as Texans Helping Texans.  Donations are needed to make their service possible; your service above self in the form of a contribution will help us address the needs of fellow Texans. One mile of fencing costs $5,000 for materials alone. One 18-Wheeler can hold $50,000 in materials such as T-posts, barbed wire, treated posts, and cattle feed. Please help us fill an 18-Wheeler!

TEXSAR encourages those affected to reach out to local emergency officials for immediate help. Local agencies are currently coordinating relief efforts through organizations like TEXSAR. TEXSAR can only deploy at the request of a local agency.

How to Give
One roll of barbed wire costs $70, 40 pounds of staples cost $100, 50 6-foot T-Posts cost $250…the list is long. With your help, we can fill trucks and take them to where we’re needed.

It is times like these that require TEXSAR to maintain support throughout the year; please consider becoming a monthly donor.
