TEXSAR Welcomes First Chief Operations Officer

With TEXSAR’s exponential growth, we’ve recognized the importance of ensuring the strong foundation we’re built upon remains steady. To support that, we are both humbled and honored to announce the addition of a Chief Operating Officer. This role represents a meaningful step forward in strengthening our internal operations so we can better support our volunteers and in turn, better serve our fellow Texans.
TEXSAR is pleased to announce the addition of Smith Tennyson as the new Chief Operations Officer.
Smith brings a depth of experience that aligns with where we are headed and what is required to grow into the TEXSAR of the future.
As COO, Smith will focus on strengthening operational continuity, supporting our leadership team, and helping scale TEXSAR’s impact across the state. His role will also directly support the CEO in operational execution. His addition allows us to build greater sustainability within the organization while preserving the volunteer-driven culture that defines who we are.
Please join us in welcoming Smith to TEXSAR.
