TEXSAR Responds to Missing Person in Austin

Austin, Texas 10/23/2019 – In response to a request made by Travis County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR) deployed to a missing persons case in the early hours of October 23rd. TEXSAR deployed ground search and rescue trained members as well as K9 assets.  After just a half hour the search team was able to rescue the missing person. She was found safe with no serious injuries. TEXSAR is often deployed at the point of recovery, it was a joyous occasion for our K9 team to rescue a live victim.

TEXSAR’s services are free to requesting agencies and are staffed by volunteers who are trained professionals in their fields.
