On Saturday, October 27, nine TEXSAR members traveled to Bryan, TX to assist Cen-Tex SAR during a 200-person Search and Rescue training exercise at Lake Bryan. On Saturday October 20th Texsar delivered Search and Rescue training for the Austin/ Travis County Community Emergency Response Team Fall class. 60 students participated in the training that included search planning, hazard analysis, resource requirements and patient extraction. The students demonstrated skills in scene size up, cribbing, patient lift and carry techniques and other related exercises.
